2012 it's a great year since he achieved international projection playing at the Winter Music Conference at Miami Beach.
Rigi began playing on the decks ten years ago. At fifteen years of age, dj Rigi developed his interest in Electronic Music and consequently DJing, which quickly became a passion consuming his daily activities.
A mutual friend, Zé Basto, introduced Rigi to Peter G & Mister M, two great DJs at that time, and the odyssey began. It was with Peter G that he adquired the basic notions of Djing and then he began developing his own style, that fuses soulfull with dubby and a glich of techno and progressive vibe, for him one of the most important things he values it’s the melody in the music.
He began playing at Praia da Luz when he was sixteen. Since then, Rigi has played in the most prestigious and greatest clubs in Portugal, clubs like Via Rápida, Estado Novo (in a solidarity party organized by Ataca with the purpose of gathering money to help the children in Africa), Gare (in the Blast Off 2011 Party), Esplanada do Alex, Club Mau Mau, House Club, Blá Blá, Porto Rio, Praia da Luz, Praia dos Ingleses, Rami Bar, Mi Café, Costa do Castelo, Giz é de Borla, Feira Belha, Sop, and held a residency at Zoo: New Generation.
Besides that, he realized different events and inaugurations, such as, the inauguration of Zen House (a Sushi Bar in Matosinhos), the inauguration of Vital Suites (an Arquitect office), the inauguration and partys in Artefacto (a decoration store), the inauguration of Galeria Parábola (an Art Gallery), a party in Casino Afifense (Afife), and a Party in Porshe stand (Braga).
Rigi has shared the booth with Midnite Sleaze; Peter Bailey; Kevin Cowens; DJ Teresa; Freshkitos; Shambala; Peter G; Miguel Maia; Nuno Nobre; Joe Bond; Diskonnected; Carlos Manaça; Nuno Bessa; Luís Pessoa; Luís Santos; Tiago Marques (Bloop); Hugo Ferreira; J Pala; Paul Jay; Sound Mates; LP; Punami; Dan Cooper, Mollas, Tiago F, Capitão Gancho, Bruno K; Pi; Caimoto; Indy; Pek; DJ Yassine; Pedro Faria; among others.
Besides Djing, he realized two original tracks: Dark on House Sampler by Roja Records & Technotonik on Snap To Grid by Bit Radio Records, and two remixes for DJ Teresa on her’s Gotta Groove and Sax Infatuation tracks.
Rigi also works on Foleys for Animation movies and he's considering to have a radio show.
