Originating from Paris, KnR is a duet consisting in "K", an experienced DJ who played a pioneering role in the French electronic music scene, and "R", a multi-instrumentalist virtuoso as known as Oliver Fox. Since 2001, they have released many tracks with different labels like NRK in the UK and Le Maquis in France. They have also been featured in many compilations such as Ibiza Lounge Open 1, Residence, Cannabissimo Electro, Morning Beat and the front-line series Lounge Story.
Their music is not necessarily limited to a definite genre. They like exploring different styles from British Down Tempo to Chicago and Detroit House, through World Music and African rhythms, remixing artists as varied as Salif Keita and Sophie-Ellis Bextor. Jazz and urban genres are also a major part of their influences.
In regard to their sound, it results from the blend of the experience of a travelling DJ entertaining dancefloors around the world and the sharp knowledge of a musical technician.
Recently, KnR signed to 96 Musique, The Avener's imprint and released three singles : "Open Your Legs", "Kiss My Bass" and "What"s Your Name". They have now become a true reference on the French electronic scene.
